With the 52,500-ton bulk carrier invested and built by the group company successfully coming to power at Nantong Jisheng Shipyard at 11:58 on July 8th, it marked that the new ship officially entered the hull closure stage from the segmented construction stage.

Modern shipbuilding is like building blocks. When designing a ship, the whole ship is divided into several sections, and the construction personnel carry out construction according to the drawings. After the sections are completed, relevant inspections are carried out. After passing the inspection, derusting and painting are needed, and then the ship is closed on the berth.

There are 108 sections of the new ship, including 13 double bottoms, 26 bottom side cabins, 26 top side cabins, 13 engine rooms, 10 tail cabins, 4 hatch enclosures, 7 superstructures, 1 chimney, 1 deck pavilion, 5 middle decks and 3 bulkhead bottom piers.

Since the new ship officially started construction at the end of last year, all blanking work has been completed in June this year. Up to now, most of the closure work has been completed for double bottom, side cabin, engine room and bulkhead bottom pier; The integrity and paint completion inspection of 7 sections of superstructure have all been completed, and the group is in progress; The relevant sections of hatch enclosure, chimney and middle deck are being made in an orderly manner.

At the same time, all kinds of pumps, pipelines, circuits, water treatment devices, marine biological devices, cathodic protection devices and other equipment of the ship have been installed synchronously, and the propeller and tail shaft have been matched.

In terms of ship power, the main generator and mooring generator are expected to arrive at the shipyard on October 12, the main switchboard is expected to arrive at the shipyard on October 20, and the main power plant is planned to be delivered by the end of October.

With the current shipyard construction capacity and speed, the new ship is scheduled to be closed on January 15, 2024. At that time, we will choose an auspicious day to leave the berth, complete the water supply work of the ship, outfit on the water, and debug all equipment. After the commissioning is completed, the final stage of navigation test, ship inspection and ship registration will be carried out.
