On December 17th, Liu Lei, Deputy General Manager of the Group, along with a delegation, visited Qidong Jisheng Shipyard in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, to inspect the progress of the 52,500-ton coastal bulk carrier being built for the company.
At the shipbuilding site, accompanied by the shipyard manager and engineers, Mr. Liu inquired about the progress of the vessel construction in detail. He boarded the ship under construction to inspect the finished product protection and mechanical and electrical equipment. Subsequently, Mr. Liu thoroughly communicated with the shipyard about the key milestones and work content before delivery. The shipyard manager stated that since the beginning of the year, construction has been strictly carried out according to standards, with more than 80% completion achieved. They will continue to adhere to high standards and strict requirements, striving for comprehensive completion of the construction by March next year to deliver a high-quality new ship.
Mr. Liu finally emphasized that the maritime shipping sector is one of the core businesses of the Group. With changes in the market environment, it is necessary to continuously expand business operations. The operation of the new type of cargo ship will undoubtedly enhance the shipping company's capacity and market competitiveness. He hoped that the shipyard would proceed with construction in a scientific and orderly manner, ensuring timely delivery and laying a solid foundation for in-depth and long-term cooperation in the future.
