The 2022 Summary and Commendation Conference of the Orient Group was solemnly held in the banquet hall on the first floor of the Gold Coast Hotel on January 19th. Chairman Liu Guomin made an important speech, and General Manager Jian Hui made a work summary for 2022 and a work deployment report for 2023.
The chairman affirmed the achievements of each unit in the past year during the meeting. The chairman said that in the face of the increased turbulence of the international situation, the volatility of the COVID-19, and the sustained inflation of the domestic economy in the past year, social development was struggling under the triple pressure of shrinking demand, supply shocks, and weakening expectations. In addition to testing our bodies, the past year has also tested our wisdom, our perseverance, and our beliefs. Against this background, it is worthy of recognition and praise that all Oriental people can maintain their composure, advance despite difficulties, and constantly strive to achieve their annual goals and tasks with the courage and perseverance and the goal of achieving steady progress. At the same time, the Chairman emphasized that as an enterprise that has been developing steadily for nearly 30 years, we not only have unique and significant advantages, but also have weaknesses that need to be addressed, which we must face objectively and attach great importance to. Firstly, the construction of the cadre team should be continuously strengthened. Overall, we have a pragmatic, efficient, and responsible cadre team. However, in terms of the modernization of the cadre team, there is still room for improvement. Secondly, the construction of talent echelons should be more scientific. The stability and sustainability of talent is one of the core factors that have led our group to achieve rapid development in the past three decades. Our talent team also suffers from excessive stability, insufficient competition, uneven growth, and poor metabolism. It is inevitable that there should be new talent needs in the new stage of development. The talent echelon should have dynamic stability and high-quality sustainability in the current process of specialization and modernization of the Group. The Group hopes to improve its talent pool by reasonably building a talent echelon and selecting talents with both moral integrity and talent to the middle and senior management team. Third, risk awareness should continue to be strengthened. Controlling risk is the guarantee for an enterprise to achieve stability and prosperity. Risk awareness is not just the ability to recognize risks, but rather the ability to exert its subjective initiative, forward-looking, and serve the risk investment, business development, and operation management of enterprises. Various uncertainties still exist in the post epidemic era. Therefore, managers should make greater efforts to improve this ability to escort the development of the enterprise.
The Chairman said that in the new year, we should optimize the group's business portfolio, fully tap the upstream and downstream value chains of the industry, accelerate the efficient circulation of internal and external industries, maintain the coordinated development of construction and real estate development, promote the supporting service industry to a new height, and empower the development of various sectors of the industry by basing ourselves on the strategic idea of continuously stabilizing the main real estate industry, strongly driving the infrastructure industry, and accelerating the incubation of advantageous auxiliary industries. At the same time, it is still necessary to pay close attention to the implementation of risk management and control, talent cultivation, and reform and innovation, and steadily promote them to ensure the healthy development and safe operation of the Group.
The completion of various tasks of the Group in 2022 was objectively and comprehensively summarized by General Manager Jian Hui in the report. He said that although we faced various adverse situations in 2022, all Oriental employees, under the correct leadership of the group's leadership, worked hard and forged ahead closely around the goals and tasks assigned at the beginning of the year, and successfully achieved various economic indicators. Although we have made certain achievements, there are still some problems and shortcomings in combination with the company's development goals and requirements, mainly manifested in the following aspects. First, some subsidiaries did not meet the task targets issued at the beginning of last year. Secondly, the effectiveness of diversified development has not yet been evident, and the operating income is relatively single. It still relies mainly on the real estate development and construction industry. Third, as business operations become increasingly complex, relevant professional and technical personnel and management personnel are lacking. Fourth, some units have not implemented the management system of the Group in a proper manner. Only by analyzing the problem rationally can the problem be solved. Only by not avoiding contradictions can they be resolved. We need to carefully analyze these issues and take effective measures to effectively overcome them in 2023.
The objectives and tasks of each unit of the Group in 2023 were deployed by the General Manager at the meeting. He said that 2023 was the first year to implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The beginning is about the overall situation. The new year has already started, and the overall goal of the Group has also been determined. It is hoped that we will work together and make concerted efforts to develop the Group better in the struggle.

The personnel appointments of some personnel in 2023 were read out by the general manager of the group at the meeting. The Group's decision to commend exemplary organization and exemplary individual in 2022 was read out by Wang Jibo, the executive vice general manager. Three exemplary organization and 49 exemplary individual were commended. The deputy general managers of the group, Wang Yuanxin, Liu Lei, and 209 employee representatives attended the meeting. Liu Qiang, Secretary of the General Party Branch, presided over the meeting.
